INKS

Our inks require no special ventilation, and emit no VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds), which are hazardous airborne chemicals. This means our print operators are not exposed to hazardous materials or air pollutants, and neither is your audience at your place of installation.

LATEX INKS

Water-based Latex inks provide outdoor durability and versatility across common media types used in sign and display applications. They are high quality, low maintenance, odorless prints. The water-based formulation means:

These latex inks have qualified for certifications that demonstrate they meet some of the world’s most rigorous and comprehensive standards for low chemical emissions into indoor air.

UV CURABLE INKS

Our LED inks contain less than .03% volatile organic compounds, are void of heavy metals, and contain up to 50% monomers and oligomers that are naturally derived from renewable resources such as plants and biomass. Unlike conventional oil-based inks, UV printing dries instantly. UV inks are not absorbed into the stock or substrate, but rather remain on top of the sheet providing a more vibrant print and visual effect.

NO VOCS

DERIVED FROM RENEWABLE RESOURCES

Since UV inks cure instantly when exposed to UV light, drying time is eliminated and no solvents are released or absorbed into the substrate. The UV process releases no VOCs, making it much safer for operators and the environment.1

Our LED inks are also formulated to print direct to a wide range of rigid and flexible media, eliminating the need for a multi-step process or special coatings for the production of rigid applications. The lamps contain no mercury and enjoy low energy usage associated with LED lights. This consumes less power and uses fewer materials.

DYE SUBLIMATION INKS

Our aqueous dye sublimation CMYK inks not only result in vivid colors and crisp graphics, but are a green option. Our special ink formulations contain less water, enabling us to use lighter paper which means faster transfer times using less energy. Plus, they are manufactured to be free of heavy metals.

We also utilize a patented ink-recovery system, which circulates ink through the print heads and puts it back into the primary containers. 95% of internal ink waste is recycled.

Aluminum

Aluminum is the most recyclable of all materials. It can be recycled infinitely and is considered a sustainable metal, meaning it can be recycled again and again with no loss in material or quality.

Depending on the alloy and processing technique used, pound for pound aluminum can be forged to be just as strong if not stronger than some steel.3 Tectonics uses aluminum in our extrusion and snap tube structures, making them completely recyclable. Not only are they 100% recyclable, but they are lightweight while maintaining incredible strength.

SEG Gasket

Our SEG gaskets are crafted from 100% post-industrial, pre-consumer recycled PVC, sourced from medical tubing scrap. This environmentally responsible material not only upholds our high-performance standards but also reduces landfill waste by repurposing pre-consumer resources. By using recycled content, we’re contributing to a circular economy and minimizing our environmental footprint.

Packaging

We have multiple packaging options depending on the venue and project circumstances, and they are all environmentally friendly.

Custom crated projects not only give you the flexibility to receive projects pre-assembled, but are a green solution. Wood can be reused as building material, recycled into mulch for landscaping or pulp for paper production. Reusing and recycling wood reduces the need to cut down trees and minimizes the waste sent to the landfill.

Corrugated packaging is also a sustainable and clean choice that provides value throughout the supply chain.4 It is lightweight and clean, lowering shipping costs with fewer trucks, less fuel and lower emissions.5 Made predominantly from trees, it is 100% renewable and recyclable.

Our two production locations have been strategically placed near three of the nation’s top trade show destinations.7 Being closer to the project’s final location means we decrease our carbon footprint, as materials and installers don’t need to travel as far or be flown.
