MKTG presented Tectonics with their dream – to turn a 20-foot corrugated shipping container into an Escape Room Challenge. The football themed Escape Room would travel to college campuses throughout the Southeast during game day. Tectonics accepted this challenge. In just four short weeks Tectonics completely engineered and fabricated the entire outside and inside of the shipping container. Aside from wiring the unit, Tectonics did it all; from the wall panel system, custom sized furniture, custom shelving, printed graphics and installation, to carpet installation. When Tectonics was finished, the once plain and empty shipping container was unrecognizable. It was transformed into an engaging experience that would be remembered by all participants and spectators alike.
Escape rooms create a fun challenge in which teams work together to solve a series of puzzles or riddles using hints, clues, and strategy. The client added their own décor elements, replicating the inside of a home office. To make this Escape Room even more unique, a developer was hired to design a custom program for this challenge. A few of Tectonics team members even had the opportunity to test out the shipping container turned Escape Room and solve the riddle.
Tectonics didn’t stop there. The transformed shipping container only made up part of this exhibit. Tectonics also produced a snap tube overhead display comprised of 2 hanging rings that can be found in our Catalog, wall frames built with Tectonics Extrusion System and covered in printed Tension Fabric, custom kiosks, and monitor shrouds. All in all, this 80’x80’ space is another example of Tectonics dedication to innovation, vast capabilities, and high standard of quality. It’s safe to say that we far exceeded our client’s expectation. They dreamt it. We built it.
You don’t have to take our word for it – take our client’s:
“We are so glad we found Tectonics. They are so easy to work with and bring a level of experience and creativity that fit perfectly for this job. We pushed them to step out of their comfort zone and they certainly delivered. They were able to produce almost an exact replica from the original render. The level of quality and finish on everything they did was top notch. I look forward to growing this relationship and seeing what else we can come up with together.” – Carter Parrish, Senior Manager at MKTG.
